Nenagh Gardai investigate guns robbery

Gardai in Nenagh are investigating what they described as a serious burglary in Toomevara in which three legally held guns were stolen.

Gardai in Nenagh are investigating what they described as a serious burglary in Toomevara in which three legally held guns were stolen.

The incident, in which a gold watch was also stolen, happened early on October 23 and person wearing a grey hoodie was seen running from the scene. The thieves forced a window at the premises to gain entry. Anybody who may have seen anything suspicious in the area that day is asked to contact Nenagh Gardai.

Meanwhile, the Gardai are following a definite line of enquiry into the theft of a quantity of meat products from a takeway in Borrisokane on October 22.

The meat was recovered after gardai stopped and searched a car carrying two males and three females on Main Street, Borrisokane, on the day in question. It is believed they were all members of the same family. One man was arrested after being detained at Nenagh garda station.
