HIQA officials have found that St Patrick’s hospital on the Cahir road in Cashel offers a satisfactory level of care to residents.

A newly published report shows the hospital - the main gerontology care centre in South Tipperary - offers a “good level” of service and complies with health and safety regulations.

The care providers is Bridget Farrell, while the person in charge is Mary Prendergast. Inspectors visited the hospital on July 3/4 as required by law.

“The centre was robustly andeffectively governed and systems were in place to ensure that services, care and care delivery systems were monitored and reviewed as necessary to promote positive safety, clinical and quality of life outcomes for residents. Feedback from residents was consistently positive and the inspector was again satisfied that residents were in receipt of a high standard of multi-disciplinary care that was also very personcentred.”
