The Chairman of the Liam Lynch Memorial Mass Committee, local Independent TD, Mattie McGrath and the Memorial Mass Committee has announced details of the 90th Liam Lynch Memorial Mass in Newcastle on this Sunday 7th April.
The days schedule will begin at Tigh na nDaoine, the Community House, Newcastle with a ceremonial raising of the Tri-Colour at 12.30pm. A march will take place from the Community House led the Liam Lynch Pipe Band to Newcastle Church, where Mass will be offered at 1pm by Fr. Vincent o.Cist.
Following Mass, a special commemorative plaque will be unveiled by Mr. Micheál Martin TD, Uachtarán Fhianna Fáil to mark the 90th anniversary of his death. Refreshments will then be served in the Community Hall in Newcastle which will then be followed by the Oration which this year will be delivered by Deputy Martin.
