The event was an effort to raise money for two local charities, Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre, Thurles and Rehab Care, Nenagh. Each charity received a cheque for E1,100. The success of the event was due to the enormous help and co-operation of club members and their families. Medical assistance was available on the day from The Order of Malta, Thurles but thankfully was not needed. Our appreciation also to Garda Tom McCormack and the Garda Reserves for their invaluable help. Tipperary Spring Water Borrisoleigh provided much needed re-hydration to all cyclists and helpers. A big Thank You to all.
