Courthouse Closures: Shatter Wields Axe Like Sledgehammer

The Nenagh based councillor made the comments at the monthly meeting of North Tipperary County Council this week during the course of an at-times heated debate on the closure of Courthouses in Roscrea, Templemore and Borrisokane which descended into a row between the Government parites and the rest.

The Minister for Justice Alan Shatter also came in for some scathing criticism after he was accused of wielding the axe in the county with the subtlety of a sledge hammer.
