“The real life lesson was never say never, and the Tipp team fought hard to the very end and succeeded in winning their first Minor All-Ireland trophy. I want to congratulate all the players and management involved who did us very proud, and give special congratulations to my nephew, Fearghal McDonnell, who was one of the team selectors,” he said.
