Staff at North Tipperary LEADER Partnership, have delivered a number of Active Citizenship courses around North Tipperary to get North Tipperary voting. Although we met with some voters through our course, we would like to take this opportunity to offer some general tips to new & unsure voters when voting on February 25th.

One vote can make a difference. In the 2002 General Election Dan Neville won his seat in West Limerick by ONE vote. If you don’t vote other people will make decisions for you. You can make sure you are registered to vote by checking the register on www.checktheregister.ie

The best way of finding a political party that suits your ideals is to compare the policies you want with those of the political parties. Ask canvassing politicians about their policies.

Bring your polling card & some identification with you when you visit the polling station. Put a number 1 in the box beside your favourite candidate. You will spoil your vote by using an X. If you don’t vote you can’t complain!
