Are you a Leaving Certificate or FETAC student or an adult learner?
Are you interested in a career in Creative Multimedia, Digital Animation, Games Design, Smart Sustainable Energy or Computing?
Ever wondered what a day in the life of a Computing student would actually be like?
Now is your chance!
Tipperary Institute will host Explore Days at its Thurles campus on Saturday 26th February and at Clonmel campus on Saturday 5th March.
Workshop based, the Explore Days will give students an opportunity to try classes in Computer Systems, Computer Programming and Multimedia and will give participants a flavour of the subjects integral to Information and Communications Technology courses.
Commenting on the Explore Days, James Greenslade, Head of Information and Communications Technology at Tipperary Institute said “Course research is essential for all students making their course and college choices and inadequate research is a major contributing factor to college drop-out.
Our Explore Days give students a fantastic opportunity to sample the subjects they will actually study should they choose IT at Tipperary Institute”.
As places are limited at the workshops booking is required. To reserve a place, contact Tipperary Institute at 0504 28263 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
For students still contemplating their CAO options, Information and Communications Technology courses merit consideration.
Despite the current economic climate, the ICT sector continues to perform strongly with over 3,000 new technology jobs created in 2010.
Tipperary Institute offers a range of ICT Degrees from Computing, IT Support and Games Design to Creative Multimedia, Digital Animation and Smart Sustainable Energy. All IT courses at Tipperary Institute are industry focused, thus providing students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills that are directly transferable to the workplace.
