Fine Gael local election candidate Cllr Conor Delaney has called on the National Roads Authority to fix signs on the R445 and R498 in the Toomevara area.
“I have contacted the NRA and asked that the Toomevara sign coming into the village from Moneygall on the R445 be replaced as it has been struck by a vehicle. Also the signs at Ballinamona Cross (R499) on the R498 all the way down to Borrisoleigh read ‘Toomyvara’ and should be replaced with the correct spelling. I will continue to follow this up until the signs are fixed”.
Cllr. Delaney said that the damaged Silvermines sign at Ballinamona Cross will be replaced in the coming weeks. He urged members of the public to report damaged signs to the council.
