Fine Gael held its party selection convention for the new Cashel /Tipperary Municipal District last week at the Ballykisteen Hotel, Limerick Junction.
At stake was a place on the ballot paper for next year’s local elections. Cllr. Eoghan Lawrence from Cashel said: “I am delighted and honoured to be chosen by my Party colleagues” following his successful nomination. There were over 250 FG members from the new district which now includes branches all over west Tipperary. The 4 FG candidates nominated to run for election next May are the three outgoing County Cllrs, John Cross, Michael Fitzgerald, and Mary Hannah Hourigan and Cashel Town Cllr Eoghan Lawrence.
