The Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen & Women (ONE) is a registered company, limited by guarantee and has also been granted charitable status. The registered name of the company is Oglaigh Naisiunta Na hEireann Teoranta (ONET). The acronyms ONE and ONET are interchangeable. The company of ONET is governed by the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association which are lodged with the Companies Registration Office. The company is also subject to company and charities legislation.

The main function of the company is to provide shelter and accommodation to those of our comrades who are in need of such support and in that regard we have three homes, one each in Dublin, Letterkenny and Athlone. The cost of running these homes annually is in the region of 600,000 euro and the company is largely dependent on its network of branches to provide financial support through national collections and other fund raising activities. The company also holds remembrance ceremonies annually for our fallen comrades.
