For everybody whose New Year resolution was to walk the hills in 2013, today Sunday, 13th January, is the first moderate level walk of the new year, so this is the time to make your resolution happen. Just come along and join us in Cashel on Sunday – we leave from opposite the fire station at 11am. New walkers are always welcome.
Just bring boots or strong shoes, warm clothes and raingear and a packed lunch. Also, a change of clothes and footwear for after the walk is a good idea. For further details about any of the walks, check out our website at www.midtipphillwalkers.ie or call Dan Condren at 087 2273082. There is also the usual high level walk on Sunday.
Last Sunday was our first high level walk of the year when Ollie Walsh led a group of 15 exploring a new route exploring the Fascoum area of the Comeraghs. Cloud cover was very low but conditions were good. Meanwhile, with our annual Scottish trip is now just over a month away and the Kerry Challenge coming just eight weeks after that, there is lots to look forward to in the coming months.
