6th Year Retreat
The 6th year retreat was in De La Salle centre in Castletown this year. we were met on arrival by Mike who escorted us to the lounge where tea and buscuits waited for us. We were brought to a main hall where we sat in a circle and discussed our fears towards the leaving cert and our beliefs towards God ad what we wantd to get out of the retreat. We were brought into a games room after this and did some fun activities that lead towards team building. We the went back to split groups of boys and girls whee we outlined our memoies, feelings and opinions of each year. After lunch we did some more activities and wrote ourselves a moivation letter which will be posted back to the school a week before our Leaving Cert to hopefully promote some moivation. We had a meditation session and collexted friedship bracelets that we had made earlier ad positive comments that other people had give us earlier. At the end of the day i felt more relaxed and less nervous about the year ahead of me. As a 6th year i feel that this etreat was definitely a success because it not onl mademe feel less nervous, it also boosted my self image. On behalf of the 6th year group i would like to thank Marie, Edel, Mike and Derek for the amazing day they gave us. (Shannon Wrenn).
