On Tuesday last the 14th of August a new committee recently formed in Kennedy Park called the “Kennedy Park Youth Project” took a bus load of children from the three estates, Kennedy Park ,Brophy Terrace and Cois Carrig to Semple Stadium to watch the Tipp Team train before the semi final against Kilkenny.

The Children aged from four up to seventeen all had a great time watching their heroes train. Afterwards the players took time out from their busy schedule to meet the children. One child remarked how worried he was that the players were not wearing their helmets as much as should be!

This newly formed committee consists of eight adults, Pat Lee Elaine Loughnane Pauline Simmons Aideen Murphy Louise Feehan Sharon Whelan Yvonne Sheils and Marie Morgan and their aim is to arrange more trips in the future and to organise fun and games for the children and youths.
The committee would like to thank Andrew Walsh for the use of his bus and to the Tipperary players who all helped make this a most memorable evening for the children .
