The Chairman of the Roscrea Town Enhancement Plan, Brian King, announced this week that work to prepare the Roscrea Town Enhancement Plan is now underway.
Specialist consultants from The Paul Hogarth Company have been appointed, and are now working closely with the Enhancement Group Committee, and its partners. The plan will identify a series of proposals for improving the town centre’s public realm - ie its streets and public spaces, prominent buildings etc. Over the next fourteen weeks, local people will be invited to avail of several opportunities to take part in this exciting process.
The first step in the process is analysis. This involves ‘getting under the skin’ of Roscrea, to fully understand what’s working and why, as well as what needs be addressed through the plan. This will in part be informed by desktop research and site analysis carried out by the consultants. However, the most valuable component of this work will be capturing the views of local people and stakeholder organisations.
