An allocation of €170,000 for the commencement of phase two of the Rosegreen Traffic Calming scheme has been welcomed by Councillor Tom Wood.

The works agreed in the 2012 programme will include drainage and asphalt overlay and other measures deemed necessary for the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike.

Meanwhile Councillor Wood has been advised that the two large electronic warning signs, in place between Lyonstown and the village, and the property of the Council, will be replaced with smaller permanent signs in the coming weeks.
