Speculation is continuing in Nenagh this Wednesday as to the identity of the couple who won last week’s E4.7m Lotto draw.
While earlier attention had focused on three individuals, a couple walked into the National Lottery offices in Dublin this Monday to claim their prize. And now the question on everybody’s lips is: Who are they?
The couple, who have been doing the same numbers for over 20 years, wish to remain anonymous, and all the National Lottery would reveal was that they were from the Mid-West and were “absolutely delighted” with their win.
The winning ticket was bought in Cleary’s Garage on the Limerick road on the day of the draw, and speculation has been rife around the town as to who the winner or winners were. However, staff at Cleary’s Garage told the Tipperary Star that they were unaware of who the winner might be.
