Green Light for Gurtnafleur Thurles Centre

AN BORD Pleanala has given the go-ahead to Gurtnafleur Limited to build a major office building in Thurles, subject to revised conditions.

AN BORD Pleanala has given the go-ahead to Gurtnafleur Limited to build a major office building in Thurles, subject to revised conditions.

Gurtnafleur Ltd, Ard Gaoithe Commercial Centre, Clonmel, successfully appealed a decision by North Tipp County Council, made on October 29th. The Council had granted permission for the project, subject to 14 conditions.

The plans involve the construction of a three-storey office building/medical centre; roundabout and access road from the Nenagh Road (R498), complete with necessary improvement works and road markings; car parking and loading areas, landscaping, site development works to facilitate the site, foul water pumping station and associated works, all at Bawntameena, Nenagh Road, Thurles. The site is located in the rural periphery of the town of Thurles, and is about 1.75 kilometres from the town centre.
