Monard National School in west Tipperary has a “strong work ethic” and “a spirit of collegiality” according to a recent report carried out on the school.
A Department of Education Inspector conducted a Whole School Evaluation (WSE) on Monard NS on October 16 last year, as is required of all schools across the state. The results were published on May 25th last. Monard National School is a three-teacher co-educational primary school, situated in the parish of Solohead and Oola. The school operates under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Cashel and Emly. It has access to the services of a resource teacherand a shared learning support/resource teacher, both of whom are based in the school. There were 68 pupils enrolled in the school at the time of the evaluation. School attendance levels are very good.
