SF Cllr Martin Browne is calling for the public to support the Cashel and Tipperary says no to water charges committees who will hold marches this week.
Both of these protests take place on Saturday, Nov. 1st as part of a National protest against the introduction of water charges. The Cashel march takes place at 2pm and the public are asked to assemble on the Plaza on the Main street at 1.45pm. The Tipperary march takes place at 4pm and assembly is at 3.45pm on the Limerick road. Cllr Browne encourages people in both towns and surrounding areas to mobilise against these unjust and unnesserary charges. The Sinn Fein Cllr points to the growing unrest all over the country as was seen in Dublin recently when 100,000 people took to the streets of the capital. Cllr Browne is calling on the Government to scrap this tax with immediate effect, and for the general public to take to the streets.
