5th Year LCA Trip
The 5th year Leaving Certificate Applied class group went to Glenstal Abbey. The group were accompanied by Fr. Lorcan and Ms. Leyne for the day. When we arrived there we met Fr. Cuthbert who was very welcoming. He took us to see the beautiful Icon Chapel which was very different to what we would see in our own Church at home in Roscrea. He then led us to the main Chapel and after we had tea, coffee, scones and jam. A question and answer session took place after this and Fr. Cuthbert answered all our questions honestly and openly. After we said our goodbyes we stopped at Dooradoyle shopping centre for some shopping therapy. Fr. Lorcan did the best shopping and bought a seriously cool elf hat! We headed for home after about an hour and a half of shopping very happy and contented. Our class group consisting of Laura Hutchinson, Beverly Casey, Lauren Monahan, David Fletcher, Conor Guerin, Kevin McCusker, Ciaran Guilfoyle and Jamie Cahill would sincerely like to thank our bus driver Kevin, Deirdre for the chicken rolls, Fr. Cuthbert and most importantly Fr. Lorcan and Ms. Leyne for taking us.
