Carroll Welcomes Hospital Work

UPGRADING works at Nenagh Hospital have been welcomed by Cllr John Carroll, a member of the HSE West Health Forum.

Cllr Carroll was told at the forum’s meeting in Galway in April that upgrading Works to the existing surgical theatre at the hospital will start in May.

The FIanna Fail councillor also received further committments from the HSE regional director of operations that works will be starting on the proposed new surgical theatre at the hospital this month.

Cllr Carroll had a number of health related questions down for discussion affecting North Tipperary at the HSE West Forum meeting, and was Exremely happy with the positive news for Nenagh.

He said that with the upgrading of the existing surgical theatre and construction of the new surgical theatre, was important step forward in securing a positive future for the hospital.

He pointed out that these capital works were agreed by the previous Fianna Fail / Greens Government as part of the Capital Works Programme.
