STAFF in Thurles’ premier GAA shop are hoping a customer who left the shop with a hugely valuable limited edition Munster Hurling Jersey, will return the jersey to its rightful owner.

STAFF in Thurles’ premier GAA shop are hoping a customer who left the shop with a hugely valuable limited edition Munster Hurling Jersey, will return the jersey to its rightful owner.

Marion Graham told the Tipperary Star that she believes the man who walked out of the shop last week with the bag containing the special edition blue and pink jersey, signed by members of the Munster Hurling team, probably did so accidentally during some confusion at the till. Marion and other staff in the store are hoping that the man will now come forward with the lost property once he opens the bag and realises the jersey isn’t his.

A number of jerseys were auctioned or sold after the Munster v Tipperary warm up game on January 21st in Nenagh. The striking special edition blue jerseys, with a pink stripe over the shoulder, were worn by the players in the Tipp v Munster Charity match in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland.
