GARDAI were called to Nenagh Hospital this Monday after remains were found by workmen laying pipes.

GARDAI were called to Nenagh Hospital this Monday after remains were found by workmen laying pipes.

The gardai said they were satisfied that the remains were “several hundred years old” and are not treating the find as suspicious.

The hospital took charge of the remains and an archaeologist is to examine them.

The hospital grounds contains a Famine grave as well as a pauper’s grave.
