In a meeting with Ormond Historical Society and Deputy Noel Coonan last Thursday, Minister of State Brian Hayes outlined that conservation works on Nenagh Castle Keep will be completed this September.
Deputy Coonan organised for the Minister of State with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works (OPW) to provide Donal Murphy of Ormond Historical Society with a progress report.
“Masonry conservation is in progress, both internally and externally, and this is almost 75 per cent complete. It is envisioned that the keep will be open to visitors next year,” said Deputy Hayes.
