Course - An Active Leadership Training Course will take place on Saturday next, March 12th in Colaiste Phopal, Roscrea from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This course is designed for any community volunteer who is involved in local youth clubs, community groups, workplace clubs, sports clubs or community centres and is free of charge. I.C.A. - Dunkerrin I.C.A. held their monthly meeting in the Community Centre on Thursday night, March 3rd. There was a good attendance. The Chairperson welcomed all to the meeting. The Guest Speaker for the night was Anne Whyte who gave a very interesting talk on animal welfare. Most of the members joined in giving the various happenings to their pets and who in many cases they can become a real part of the family. Anne was thanked and we all learned something from her talk. The night was brought to a close with a a really lovely tea which was enjoyed by all.

Confirmation - 19 young adults from the parish received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St. Mary’s Church, Dunkerrin on Thursday, 3rd March. A special word of thanks to our Bishop and to all who participated in the ceremony. Special mention of the Dunkerrin Adult Choir under the direction of Mary O’Meara who added much to the solemnity of the occasion. Go raibh Grasta an Sprioraid Naoimh libh in gconai.
