Kelly Welcomes Nenagh Hospital Developments
Minister Alan Kelly has welcomed further Capital developments at Nenagh Hospital.
“The HSE recently purchased the car park adjacent to the hospital for €80k. Funding of €80k-100k is being provided to resurface this area and further measures to integrate the car park into the hospital grounds. This work will begin this Wednesday December 12th.
“In addition a further €100k is being provided to purchase new state of the art anaesthetic and monitoring equipment that are very much necessary to bring Nenagh in line with other hospitals.
“This is on top of the €4.5m being provided by this Government to build new theatre suites in the hospital which will be undertaken in 2013”.
Minister Kelly also confirmed that Nenagh Hospital has reached all it’s national targets in 2012. The hospital will have taken approximately 6,000 day case surgeries this year which is up from approximately 3,000 in 2009.
