Fundraiser

For the purposes of our recent fund-raiser, the first goal in the 2012 All-Ireland Hurling Final was scored by Joe Canning of Galway at 9mins and 5secs. The winning ticket was sold by Brendan Carey to Jenny Kennedy from Templemore. Well done Jenny and a big thank you to all who supported the fundraiser.

North Tipp Junior Hurling Championship

Roscrea North Junior B Champions. Roscrea 4-13 Templederry 1-15. Congratulations to the Roscrea Junior B team on their marvelous performance on Saturday last in Moneygall. A huge effort this year in training matched with some marvelous performances helped result in this great victory. Best wishes to the team as they regroup for a crack at the county title.

Book Launch

Jim Fogarty’s much anticipated book on Tipperary County finals will be released on Friday the 19th of October in the “Horse & Jockey” hotel. All Roscrea GAA enthusiasts are welcomed to come along and enjoy what promises to be a wonderful occasion. Among the many stars from the past will be the guest of honour, Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh. Jim has always been a great supporter and a great help to our club. If you are free on October 19th please do drop over to the Horse & Jockey where you will receive a warm welcome.

Tipperary Minors

Congratulations to the Tipperary minor panel and management on their great victory over Dublin on Sunday last. It was a much needed lift for the County. Congratulations also to Eamon O’ Shéa on his appointment as the new Tipperary senior manager. Eamon is one of the great intellectuals of the game and we look forward to seeing him devise a strategy over the coming year to help bring the McCarthy cup back home to the premier county.
