Gardai appeal for info on missing Tipperary teenager

The search for a missing 17-year-old girl in Nenagh was called off this Monday following the discovery of a body in the town.

The girl was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Dark Road area of the North Tipperary town.

Searches yesterday failed to turn up any sign of the Leaving Cert student.

The Gardai were joined on Sunday night by an Irish Coastguard helicopter in searching for the girl. However, the search was called off shortly before 10.30pm on Sunday. The search was concentrated on the Borrisokane Road area, Gortlandroe and Dromin Road.

Anybody who may have seen the girl on Saturday night / Sunday morning is asked to contact Nenagh Gardaí on 067-31333.

Foul play is not suspected.
