One of Aldi’s Tipperary suppliers has won the top award in the Meat–Beef category for Aldi’s Specially Selected 28 Day Matured Irish Rib Roast on the Bone at the highly coveted 2016 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards. ABP Cahir received the accolade from a judging panel made up of leading food experts and critics. The Tipperary based supplier, which employs 635 people in Cahir, received the Highly Commended accolade for Aldi’s Specially Selected Irish Angus 28 Day Matured Fillet Steak, Aldi’s Specially Selected Irish Angus 30 Day Dry Aged Ribeye Steak and Aldi’s Specially Selected Irish Angus 30 Day Dry Aged Striploin Steak.

Now in their fourth year, the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards recognise and reward excellence in food and drink product development by producers across Ireland.
