Munster senior hurling final fixed for Limerick

The decision of the Munster GAA Council to fix the Munster senior hurling final between Tipperary and Waterford for Pairc na nGael, Limerick on Sunday July 10th has come in for sharp criticism this week, especially amongst Tipperary supporters, writes Noel Dundon.

The Council moved swiftly to fix the final after Tipperary's two point win over Limerick on Sunday and while there was much hope that Waterford would agree to come to Semple Stadium in Thurles to play the final - a repeat of last years decider in that venue - there was doubt from the off that this would be the case, with Semple being regarded as Tipperary's home venue.
