Cashel Lions Club held a hugely successful Fashion Show last Friday 8th April in Bru Boru, Cashel.
Ten fashion houses from Cashel, Thurles and Clonmel displayed a beautiful array of the latest trends and colours to the delight of a sell-out crowd.
The night kicked off with a wine and cheese reception in the Teach Ceoil with a number of concession stands in attendance also. The main event was held in the fantastic surrounds of the Bru Boru auditorium which is the perfect venue for such a show.
Master of Ceremonies, Don Andrews created an electric atmosphere with one hundred and thirty outfits paraded down the catwalk on the night.
Cashel shops featured strongly with Davern’s, Kilkenny Shop, Kinane’s, Morelli’s, Mr Mister and Uptown Girl wowing the audience with a stunning selection of up-to-the minute fashion for every occasion.
Thurles was also well represented with Carrig Donn, Imps & Elves, En Paris and Lar na Pairce taking part and finally Clonmel was represented by Pamela Scott.
The audience were treated to a fantastic night of fun and surprises including spot prizes galore and plenty of on-stage antics by the team of sixty local men, women and child models.
The entertainment also included a Best Dressed competition, sponsored by the Clonmel Park Hotel, with Nora Cregan declared the overall winner from the five finalists selected.
Among the evening's entertainment was a selection of spot prizes, including a beautiful signed print from Aidan O'Brien of Ballydoyle Racing, a hamper of goodies from Teresa Kinane, gift sets from Friary Pharmacy, Cuts & Curls and Sizzars along with vouchers from Rossa Pottery.
The night finished with the after-show party moving to Kearney’s Castle on Main Street, Cashel.
