Tipp must now go to Galway and win if they are to be in with a shout of play-off's

Waterford 1-18

Tipperary 1-17

Austin Gleeson’s pointed free from twenty five meters inside his own half, with the specified three minutes of added time surpassed, gave Waterford the holders, a third successive victory in this year’s Allianz National Hurling League campaign, and leaves Tipperary in choppy waters with the possibility of a relegation battle now looming after they succumbed to their second defeat in three outings at Semple Stadium on Sunday.

It now means that Michael Ryan's men must travel to Salthill in Galway on Sunday next for a clash with the home side, and come away with the points, if they are to have any hope of making the play-off's. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
