North IHC Final Ballina 1-20 Shannon Rovers 1-11

Shannon Rovers suffered their eight North final defeat when losing to new champions Ballina in an interesting north decider played at MacDonagh Park last Sunday evening.

A sizeable attendance witnessed Rovers fail to come to terms with a highly motivated side that were hell bent in putting their North final distress to bed. They were up against a side that were featuring in their fifth North final in the last nine years and with a polished performance became the latest team to attain the championship for the first time since Knockshegowna did in 1960.
