LAR:Like everyone else in the hurling world,we were surprised to hear of Lar Corbett’s decision regarding the county team. Lar has represented Tipperary very well over the years and we respect his decision and wish him well in the future. We also congratulate him on his recent engagement to Elaine. Good wishes to them both.

PADDY CURRAN R.I.P.: The club extends sympathy to the Curran family,Thurles, on the death last week-end of Paddy. Paddy was a lifelong supporter of the ‘Blues’. In his younger days,he was a star hurler with Thurles CBS and represented Munster,winning the inter-provincial All Ireland Colleges Championship of 1937. In the late thirties and early forties,Paddy was a regular on many Sarsfields championship teams.
