Former Balllingarry goalkeeper Willie Hayes, who served the club with distinction in the golden years from winning the Co Intermediate Hurling Championships in 1979 and winning a number of South Senior Hurling titles during the eighties, has been named as Senior Hurling Manager for the club for 2011.

Following a very constructive meeting during the week with the committee and a large number of players, Willie and his selectors Tomas Fitzgerald and Ned O’Donovan, set out their stall in relation to their preparations for hte year ahead. They are wished well in their effort.
