Tipperary 4-20 Dublin 0-17
Tipperary are back in the Allianz National Hurling League Final following a very polished performance in the semi-final clash with Dublin in Semple Stadium on Sunday afternoon last which yielded a 15 point winning margin.
Victory in this game was never in doubt after twenty minutes and the huge gulf in class between the Premier County and Anthony Daly’s Dublin was very evident in all sectors of the field, but especially in the attacking division.
Tipperary managed to bag 3-15 from play in the game with nine different players supplying the scores, whereas the Dubs returns were far less and never close to matching what was materialising in the blue and gold balance sheet.
The hurling was sharp and crisp from Tipp with players picking out colleagues with ease and the supply of ball to the attack was teed up to ensure maximum effect. In fact, Tipperary looked as though they could cut open the Dubs at any stage of the game.
