Clean Ireland Recycling County Tipperary U21B Hurling SF
Moyne-Templetuohy Og qualified for the county U21 B hurling championship final when they defeated Éire Óg Anacarty/Donohill in Boherlahan on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-11. They will now meet Borrisokane in the county final after Borrisokane won their semi-final clash with Skeheenarinky comfortable. The final will take place on Sunday December 29th so at the time of going to press which is earlier than usual due to the Christmas holidays we can only hope that our Mid representatives end the year on a high note.
Tipperary Senior Hurlers 6K Run for Cancer Care
Thanks to all who took part in the 6K fun run / walk on Saturday December 21st in Thurles. A large crowd turned out in terrible weather conditions and thanks to everyone who braved the elements for such a worthy cause. All proceeds will be donated to 2 cancer related charities – Friends of St. Luke’s (www.friendsofstlukes.ie) at St. Luke’s Hospital Rathgar Dublin where Eddie Connolly is being treated and SuirHaven in Thurles which is a cancer support centre run by the North Tipperary Hospice. We wish Eddie continued success during this difficult time for him and his family and hopefully he will make a full recovery in the very near future.
Review Of 2013
A quick look back on 2013 from a Mid perspective. What a year it was with 4 county titles won in hurling and a fifth hurling title will be won if Moyne-Templetuohy Og can win the U21 B hurling title. County titles were won at senior, junior A & B and at U21A. Also county titles were contested in intermediate and minor hurling. In football 3 county titles were won, senior, junior A and minor B, and county finals were contested inU21 A and U21B and minor A. So in total in hurling and football Mid teams contested 13 county titles in 2013 and for the first time ever county senior titles in hurling and football were won by the same club and again we congratulate Loughmore- Castleiney on their historic success.
