Hurling Championship

The losers of round one are out in action at the weekend and it’s a must-win game for the teams involved as another loss will mean exit from the championship.

Boherlahan-Dualla, beaten by Moycarkey-Borris in round one, will face Holycross-Ballycahill who lost to Drom & Inch. This game will take place in Littleton on Saturday evening and it should be a close affair.

Also on Saturday in Templetuohy JK Bracken’s will face Mid and County champions Thurles Sarsfields. Sarsfields will be hoping for victory to keep their chances of retaining the title alive. The winners of the loser’s group games will face Moycarkey or Drom in the quarter-final.

Mid Senior Football Championship

On Sunday evening in Kickham Park Loughmore-Castleiney will hope to move one step closer to retaining their title when the face Moycarkey-Borris in the Mid semi-final. It’s great to see the fantastic progress Moycarkey have made in recent years in football and having won last year’s county intermediate football championship they will no doubt relish the prospect of facing one of the powerhouses of football in the county.

Under-21A Football

Congratulations to Loughmore-Castleiney on their win over Arravale Rovers in the county under-21A football semi-final. This will be Loughmore’s third consecutive appearance in a county final and it is a magnificent achievement for the club. We wish them every success as they attempt to retain the county title.

County Senior Football Championship

Loughmore had a three-point win over Moycarkey and JK Bracken’s drew with Kilsheelan-Kilcash in round one of the county senior football championship games played last weekend.

Murphys Office Systems Mid

Minor Football Championship

In the A championship Drom and Thurles Sarsfields had a draw and in the B championship Loughmore had a big win over Thurles Gaels. Both of these games were in round three of their respective championships.

Mid Tipperary O’Mahony Print

Templemore Junior Hurling League

In division one there were wins for Loughmore over Moycarkey, Upperchurch over Drom, Thurles Gaels over Gortnahoe and in the division two Holycross defeated Boherlahan and Sarsfields beat Bracken’s.

Mid Tipperary Templetuohy

Bus and Car Hire

There was one game played at the weekend between Moyne-Templetuohy and Killea and Moyne were convincing winners.

County Intermediate &

Junior Hurling Leagues

In the intermediate hurling league Drom defeated Lattin-Cullen and Moyne-Templetuohy had the better over Ballinahinch. In the junior hurling league BoherLahan lost to Knockavilla Kickhams in round two.

Minor Football Championship

Congratulations to the Tipperary minor footballers on their victory over Clare last Saturday in the Munster championship quarter-final played in Cusack Park, Ennis. The Tipp team were captained by Colin O’Riordan (JK Bracken’s) who lined out at midfield.

Friends of Tipperary Football Fundraiser

Thanks to all clubs in the division who took part and supported The Friends of Tipperary Football Fun Cycle fundraiser last Saturday, April 20th to raise funds to aid Tipperary football teams. It was a great success.
