Clean Ireland Recycling County Minor A Hurling Championship Final

Mid champions Holycross-Ballycahill took on Nenagh Eire Og in the minor A county hurling final in Semple Stadium last Sunday. This game was a tremendous tussle between two fine sides and with little between both sides throughout the game Holycross went down by a point to their great rivals. This was a heartbreak defeat for Holycross who conceded three goals in the game but each time showed great character in fighting back and were awarded a penalty in injury time but the decision was subsequently changed by the referee and a throw-in followed and Nenagh cleared the ball to safety and held out for victory. Holycross will be very disappointed to lose in such a fashion but this team showed great character and ability and there is no doubt this young side will lay the foundations for senior success for the club in the near future.
