The annual Hurling Challenge for Zambia, in association with Newstalk, will take place at St John’s Park (O’Loughlin Gaels) on Sunday, February 23rd at 11am.

The game will feature the Tipperary and Kilkenny under-21 teams and will precede the Allianz National Hurling League clash between Tipperary and Kilkenny which takes place nearby at Nowlan Park (throw-in 2pm).

Admission to this event costs just €5 with all proceeds going toward the CBS Zambia Immersion Project.

Cashel King Cormacs’ TJ Connolly guides the fortunes of the Tipperary under-21 team this year - Tipperary have not won a Munster provincial under-21 title since 2010 when the Premier also progressed to claim All-Ireland honours.

Tipperary are currently preparing to take on Clare or Limerick on July 16th in a Munster semi-final.

In 2013 the Tipperary under-21s beat Limerick (2-18 to 2-11) and Cork (5-19 to 2-13) before losing out to eventual All-Ireland champions Clare on a 1-17 to 2-10 scoreline.
