There was a large attendance at the AGM and as usual Jonathan Cullen secretary’s report was exceptionally detailed and comprehensive and very well presented covering all the games during the year.

Well done to Jonathan on an outstanding report again this year. Liz Flanagan Treasurer of the Board gave a very detailed account of the finances of the Board over the past twelve months and Liz in her first year in the job as Treasurer has done a remarkable job and has to be complimented for the effort and expertise she has displayed in a very difficult role.

Chairman of the Board John Devane gave a most eloquent address to convention and congratulated all the clubs who were victorious during the year and thanked all the clubs for their co-operation and support over the past twelve months and also thanked all the referees and everyone who contributed in any way to the successful running of the games during the year.

President of the Board Pat Cullen also spoke on the night and thanked everyone for their contribution. Other speakers included county chairman Sean Nugent and Munster Council representative PJ Maher. John Donovan was elected Assistant Treasurer of the Mid Board last Friday night and we congratulate John on his election. John has given outstanding service to both the Mid and County Board over many years and it is a huge bonus to the Mid Board to have the benefit of John’s expertise with us again.

Congratulations and well done to Killea GAA club who did an outstanding job in hosting this year’s AGM, which was the first time the club held the Mid Board AGM. It was obvious to all that a lot of work and planning was done in preparation for the night.

Everything was done to perfection and well done to the officers and committee members and to the catering personnel on making the 2013 Mid Board AGM such a success.
