In the A championship there was a number of games played in round two last week and there were wins for Drom & Inch against Upperchurch-Drombane (1-18 to 2-11), Thurles Sarsfields against Holcross-Ballycahill (1-18 to 2-12) and JK Bracken’s against Moycarkey-Borris (5-24 to 3-13). In round four of the B championship Boherlahan-Dualla defeated Loughmore-Castleiney by 1-13 to 2-7 and Moyne-Templetuohy Og beat Thurles Gaels by 6-22 to 1-9.

Roskeen Construction Junior A Hurling Championship

On Sunday evening in Templetuohy Thurles Sarsfields defeated Moyne–Templetuohy by 0-19 to 2-10.

Knock took on Killea in Clonmore last Saturday evening and in a great game between these two sides Killea came out on top by one point with the final score Killea 3-10 Knock 1-15.

Clean Ireland Recycling County Intermediate HC

In the local clash between Drom & Inch and Moyne-Templetuohy it ended all level (Drom 0-17 Moyne 1-14) and Thurles Sarsfields defeated Grangemockler–Ballyneale (5-16 to 1-17).

Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Football championship

Two of our clubs were in action last weekend with Loughmore defeating Mullinahone by 1-15 to 0-4, but Moycarkey were defeated by Kilsheelan-Kilcash ( 0-6 to 2-13).

Tipperary Under-21S & Intermediates

Last week was a great week for Tipperary hurling with our U21s qualifying for the Munster final against Clare after a great win over Cork while the intermediates retained their Munster title defeating Cork in the final.

Holycross-Ballycahill GAA Club

Holycross-Ballycahill’s Cut Loose and Country Festival fundraiser for the club was a tremendous success last Sunday with huge crowds attending the music festival for the second year running. The weather was ideal for the festival and the music was fantastic again this year with six bands entertaining the crowds all afternoon. Congratulations to the organising committee and to all concerned for a very enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment.

Upperchurch–Drombane GAA

The Upperchurch-Drombane Annual Golf Classic which took place last Thursday & Friday in the Tipperary Golf & Country Club, Dundrum was a great success and the participants were blessed with the lovely weather. Thanks to all who supported the event.


The July Tipperary Clubs draw was held in the Trap Bar, Grangemockler and the Skoda Octavia or €15,000 was won by JK Brackens’ Margaret Tobin of Church St Templemore while the Skoda Fabia or €10,000 was won by Drom & Inch’s Eddie Buckley of Golden Grove, Drombane. The Acorn Life sponsored weekend for two at Dromoland Castle was won by Willie Byrne.
