The Tipperary footballers will take on Galway in an All-Ireland Football Round 4 Qualifier in Tullamore on Saturday, July 26th at 7pm with a place in the All-Ireland quarter-finals up for grabs.

The clash between Tipperary and Galway will feature as the second part of a double-header; the clash between Sligo and Cork in Tullamore will throw-in at 5pm.

Additionally, the Tipperary versus Galway football qualifier will be shown live on Sky Sports.

On Saturday, July 19th the remaining All-Ireland football qualifiers between Roscommon and Armagh and Clare against Kildare will take place.

On Sunday last Galway lost the Connacht senior footbal final to rivals Mayo (0-16 to 3-14).

Interestingly Galway and Tipperary clashed in the 2013 qualifiers when the Tribesmen beat a depleted Tipp team 1-12 to 0-11. A goal from debutant Michael Farragher helped Galway get out of jail at Pearse Stadium.

Tipperary, however, are now enjoying a rich vein of form and following an excellent performance against Cork have registered back-to-back wins over Longford and Laois.

Saturday’s 3-17 to 4-9 win over Laois at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise was particularly impressive from Peter Creedon’s men.
