Senior Final

The senior final between Loughmore and Nenagh has all the ingredients of been a fascinating encounter. Favourites Nenagh take on Loughmore who have improved in every game played since losing the Mid Final to Drom. In 2011 Drom lost the Mid Final to Loughmore and we all know how Drom recovered after that loss and went on to win the county final for the first time in their history. Loughmore are well capable and have the talent and ability to do the same and if they can perform to the high standard they are capable of there is no reason why the Dan Breen will not be going to Loughmore on Sunday evening for the first time since 2007 and for the third time in the clubs history. We wish the players and the management team the very best of luck on Sunday and we hope that the Dan Breen will be remaining in the Mid Division for the fifth year in- a -row.

Intermediate Final

Moyne – Templetuohy will play Ballina in the Intermediate hurling final which will precede the Senior final Sunday. Ballina will go into the final as favourites and will be hoping to win their first final having been defeated in last year’s final by Silvermines. Like Loughmore Moyne – Templetuohy lost the Mid Final to Clonakenny but have regrouped and have shown admirable determination and resolve to get to this year’s decider. It is 30 year’s this year since Moyne – Templetuohy won their first ever county final at this level when they defeated Portroe in the final. How fitting it would be to win their second title on Sunday. We wish the players and management team the very best of luck on Sunday.

Best wishes to 2012 Tipperary Intermediate All Ireland hurling winning captain Eddie Connolly of Loughmore – Castleiney who is recovering in hospital after a recent illness.

Eddie will be a huge loss to Loughmore on Sunday in the county final. Eddie has been one of the stars of the team for the past number of years and was an inspirational captain of Tipp’s All Ireland Intermediate hurling success in 2012. We wish Eddie a speedy recovery from his recent illness.
