Our Juniors also started the championship with a home game in the Sarsfield pitch on Friday 10th August against Borrisoleigh. Unfortunately they were beaten by a stronger team on the day. The Juniors continue the championship with a match against Holycross in Holycross on Sunday 26th August at 11.30am. Support for the girls would be appreciated. Good luck to them.

July was a great month for Blitzes for our U8’s, U10’s and our U12’s. On Saturday 14th July, our U10’s took part in a ‘Go Game’ blitz in Moneygall. The girls played brilliantly. They enjoyed the day and huge experience was gained from this encounter with some other great teams.

The following week on the 21st July our U8’s were in action in a very entertaining morning’s action in the County pitch at the Ragg. The girls got a good taste of various teams and enjoyed the day immensely.

Later that day in Borrisoleigh our U12’s were in action at 1pm in another ‘Go Game’ blitz. All girls enjoyed the day and played some very good teams. The girls played brilliant and gained some invaluable experience which these ‘Go Games’ aim to achieve.

On the 28th July Knockavilla/Donaskeigh Camogie Club invited our U10’s to participate in the Moira Cahill Memorial Camogie blitz in Dundrum. The day was very well organised and our girls had a great day. The girls improved greatly as the day went on. The games were ‘Full Rules’ games and the girls enjoyed this immensely.

The U14 semi-final is set for 21st August in the The Ragg. We will be meeting Cashel and will be hoping to progress to the final. Support would be great for the girls and good luck to them on the day.

We have being fundraising lately with a ‘Bucket Collection’ on Sunday 29th July and a Church Gate collection on 5th August. A very big ‘Thank You’ for everybody who donated and for your continued support.

A huge ‘Thank You’ to all parents/guardians who help out with transport to blitzes and continued encouragement to your daughter to keep participating in Camogie.
