Junior B Hurling: Our junior B hurlers beat Golden in Clonoulty on Saturday last to qualify for the County Final against Templederry this coming weekend. See fixtures.
Passing of John Stakelum: We mourn this week the passing of John Stakelum, Castle Avenue, Thurles a fantastic servant of the club both as a player and supporter. As a hurler, he played a key part in our golden era of the late 1940s and early 50s. He won three three county senior hurling titles in 1948, ‘51 and ‘54. In subsequent decades his interest in our club never waned and so it was only right that his final journey back to Holycross Abbey should be flanked by a club guard of honour with the club colours resting on his coffin. To the entire Stakelum family our sincere sympathy.

Boxing Fundraiser: The stage is set for our ‘Bragging Rights’ fundraiser against our neighbours Upperchurch-Drombane in The Ragg on Saturday. Tickets available from Micheal Lowry or any competitors as well as on the night. Support appreciated.
