Thurles Sarsfields 2-20
Boherlahan-Dualla find themselves in relegation trouble after they lost to Thurles Sarsfields in the quarter-final of the O Riain Cup (Senior B) hurling championship at Holycross on Friday evening.
Though this was an improved showing on their outing against Templederry, there were still some distance behind their rivals whose victory earns them a spot in the semi-final of the competition, but equally important, removes the spectre of relegation from the rest of their season.
In the opening quarter, the possibility of Boherlahan-Dualla shocking last year’s county and Munster champions loomed. Seamus Leahy’s well-taken 5th minute goal, put them 1-0 to 0-2 ahead but once Pa Bourke netted from an Aidan McCormack pass in the 18th minute to put Sarsfields 1-4 to 1-2 clear, there was only going to be one winner.
