THE Junior Minister for Transport, Alan Kelly, this week congratulated the Visit Nenagh cycle team that has been launched in the town.

“It is a fantastic achievement to have our own team in Nenagh that will promote the town and the area in general. Nenagh has a unique selling point now with the N7 cycleway to Limerick that will be able to attract in events and competitions in the future. Working with the team and their supporters I want to make Nenagh, a town placed in the centre of the country as the centre piece of Irish cycling.”

Mayor Virginia O’Dowd, who is sponsoring the team’s kit said: “The team will be cycling in up to 40 events between now and September and at each of these they will be peddling Visit Nenagh, not just on their jerseys but also through flyers, and encouraging people to come here.
