Nenagh Walking Club prepares for Bantry weekend

Nenagh Walking Club’s Sunday walks continue for the autumn season as the Tuesday and Thursday evening walks soon come to an end.

Nenagh Walking Club’s Sunday walks continue for the autumn season as the Tuesday and Thursday evening walks soon come to an end.

This Sunday, August 30, the club will travel to the Galtees / Cush which is an A walk. Contact Maura on 086-8360621. Members have a chance to do the Nenagh River walk on Tuesday, September 1, meeting at meat factory at 7.30pm.

The club’s weekend away to Bantry, County Cork, from Friday, September 25, is fast approaching. That Friday, the club will head to Whiddy Island for an easy walk on the heritage and history of the island. Saturday is a 17km walk around Sheeps Head. This walk will suit any reasonable walker.

On Sunday, members can do Bantry House and gardens or vist Garnish Island. Westlodge Hotel is our accommodation and should be contacted directly for availability. Advise them that you are with the Nenagh walking club.
